A new and inviting residential area

Rødovre Station Center, which was destroyed in a fire in 2013, has been transformed into a modern and architecturally stunning landmark. Rødovre Port is now an impressive and visually striking residential area spanning over 37,000m2, featuring 534 modern rental homes distributed across nine buildings, as well as stores and offices. The area boasts light and golden colors that create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere. Multiple outdoor spaces and a green courtyard provide ample opportunities for social interaction and leisure, making it an exciting living option for individuals and families alike.

One of the standout features of Rødovre Port is its striking facade design which is seen throughout the project’s three towers. The façade is characterized by the use of modern and lightweight balconies that add to the visual appeal of the buildings. These elements create a sense of openness and lightness throughout the project, giving it a unique character. The balconies are arranged in a way that creates a visually interesting pattern and creates accessible outdoor areas for residents.

Innovative balcony design elevates the modern facade

To properly realize the architect’s vision for a seamless interplay between the façade elements and light concrete for the Rødovre Port project, Hi-Con was chosen as the ideal partner to supply the balconies.

Hi-Con has delivered 507 balconies in Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC), 1900m of steel barriers for 6 rooftop terraces, frames, and decorative columns for the project – totaling around 1000 elements. The balconies were of two main types, with 415 box balconies for the three towers and 92 cantilevered balconies for the surrounding buildings. Ranging from 3 m2 to 20 m2, these balconies were made in light CRC with a smooth surface.

We have chosen to collaborate with Hi-Con on balconies due to several crucial factors for our project. Aesthetically, the expression must have a smooth interplay with our facade panels in white concrete, while the construction must occur light. For this purpose, Hi-Con’s product is ideal. In addition, Hi-Con is a highly professional partner who can handle its tasks even without extra attention from us. That gives us great value
