After a fire on Sydney Stringer Academy, the school called a competition for building a new school. A group with Kier, WSP and Sheppard Robson won the competition with a project that involved two significant staircases carried out in CRC i2®. The architects choose to use a design of their own with a staircase that turns 180 degrees from floor to floor and landings, which are supported by a column in CRC i2 ®. The column is used for lightning the staircase as well.
The building contains two staircases – one in two and one in three floors. Each floor consists of five elements, cast together on site with CRC JointCast.
