BEAUTIFUL FIVE-STORY SPIRAL STAIRCASE IN ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE

This stunning five-story high spiral staircase in ultra high performance concrete (UHPC) adorns the interior of the new office building "Dungen" in Malmö, Sweden.

The staircase consists of five flights, with the lowest element measuring 5360 mm in height and comprising 31 steps, each with a height of 172 mm. The remaining four staircase elements each measure 4150 mm in height.

All elements are cast in grey ultra high performance concrete CRC i2® with stainless steel fibers, and the staircase itself is clad with wooden slats.

The tall spiral staircase was cast and delivered as five staircase flights, which optimized the construction process and provided value to partners through quick and easy installation.

The large glass facades of the building also mean that the tall spiral staircase can be seen from the outside, adding a beautiful aesthetic touch to the building.
