Extreme cantilevered balconies

Hi-Con Nederland B.V. supplied the senior homes in Bilthoven with balconies that combine a minimalistic design with high functionality.

The balconies are cast in CRC i2® ultra high performance concrete - a type of concrete that makes it possible to cast very slender balconies and at the same time maintain a very high durability.

The project won the Dutch Concrete Award in 2013 because of its combination of great architecture and new technology.
